Become a General Volunteer
If you're passionate about supporting mental health but don't have the time to commit to a committee role, you can still make a difference as a General Volunteer.
Whether it’s supporting events, helping with social media, or assisting with peer support programs, we have a role to match your skills and interests.
Ways you can help:
Assist with events like World Suicide Prevention Day.
Help manage our social media and website.
Liaise with media outlets regarding MRSPAG’s activities.
Contribute to community outreach programs.
Join one of our working groups and bring your skills and passions to our volunteer team!

Volunteer as a Committee Member
Are you passionate about mental health and looking to make a strategic impact?
Join us as a General Volunteer to be considered as a Committee Member at our next AGM in 2025 and contribute to MRSPAG's governance and direction. This volunteer role involves attending regular meetings, helping shape our initiatives, and ensuring we stay aligned with our mission.
Who we’re looking for:
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Passionate about mental health and suicide prevention.
Experience in community services or governance is a bonus but not required.

Volunteer for the Community-Led Safe Space
The Community-Led Safe Space is a vital project designed to support individuals in emotional distress or suicidal crisis in a non-clinical, peer-led environment.
As a Peer Supporter, you'll use your lived experience to provide empathetic, compassionate support to those who need it most.
Role of a Peer Supporter:
Provide emotional support to individuals in suicidal crisis.
Engage in deep listening and empathetic conversations.
Offer a safe and non-judgmental space for guests to share their stories.
Requirements:
Personal lived experience of suicide or supporting someone in a suicidal crisis.
Comfort discussing suicide and being present with individuals in distress.
Training and ongoing support are provided by MRSPAG and Roses in the Ocean.
